Kumu Hula Kauʻi Dalire-Boyd

Hālau Ka Lihilihilehua ʻO Hōpōe Kūikanani

Raised in a renowned hula family from the Windward side of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, Kumu Kauʻi Dalire-Boyd was immersed in the traditions of hula from an early age. Her mother, Aloha Dalire, earned the title of the first Miss Hula at the Merrie Monarch Festival, and Kauʻi, along with her sisters, continued that legacy—each earning the prestigious title and contributing to a remarkable chapter in hula history.

Kumu Kauʻi now guides her own hālau, Hālau Ka Lihilihilehua ʻO Hōpōe Kūikanani, with a global presence that extends across Hawaiʻi, Japan, Mexico, Australia, and the United States. Through her leadership, she continues to nurture the next generation of dancers while preserving the ʻike and traditions of her lineage.
